FROM PROJECT POTENTIAL TO FINANCING LOGIC

A promising project still needs an explainable funding case.

Technical studies, cost estimates and commercial plans can tell different parts of the story. Financing preparation brings them together around the cash requirement, assumptions and risks.

We help you identify what is ready for review and what needs further work before market engagement.

01

The project is defined. The financing package is not.

Turn the available studies, budgets and commercial information into a coherent preparation plan.

02

The numbers exist in separate documents.

Connect the assumptions so the model and presentation describe the same project.

03

You want to understand what changes the funding need.

Explore the effects of timing, costs and revenue assumptions before presenting the case.

THE VALUE TO YOUR BUSINESS

Put the economics behind
the opportunity.

01

Understand the funding requirement

Connect capital expenditure, operating cash flow and timing so the amount you request has an explainable basis.

02

Make assumptions visible

Separate what is evidenced from what is still provisional. Give reviewers a clearer view of the project’s current stage.

03

Test the pressure points

Explore how changes in cost, timing or revenue affect the project model and the financing discussion.

04

Prepare one coherent project story

Align the financial model, project presentation and supporting documentation so financing discussions start from the same facts.

UNDERSTAND THE PRESSURE POINTS

What happens if
the assumptions change?

Sensitivity analysis helps you see which inputs matter most and discuss them with greater clarity.

CAPITAL COST

The build costs more.

Review how a change in capital expenditure affects the funding requirement and the project’s financial profile.

PROJECT TIMING

Revenue begins later.

Explore the cash-flow effect of a delayed start and the funding needed through the extended preparation period.

OPERATING PERFORMANCE

Revenue or margin is lower.

Understand how revised commercial assumptions affect cash generation and financing discussions.

Illustrative modelling questions. The actual scenarios depend on your project and agreed scope.

THE FINANCING PREPARATION PACKAGE

One connected view of the project.

We organise the agreed work so the financial model, funding narrative and supporting documents tell the same story.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Move from available information
to a structured financing case.

01

Share the project overview

Provide the sector, location, development stage and estimated funding requirement.

02

Review the financing case

We assess the project economics, sponsor position and available documentation.

03

Build the preparation package

We develop the agreed model, funding approach and presentation materials.

04

Plan market engagement

We identify the next preparation steps. Any lender or investor engagement is separately scoped.

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?

This is a useful next step if…

  • You have an identifiable project sponsor and a defined development objective.
  • Preliminary project information and a funding need are available.
  • You want to prepare the economics and documents for external review.

FIND THE RIGHT STARTING POINT

Still at the concept stage? The first priority may be feasibility and supporting evidence. We identify those gaps before proposing a financing preparation scope.

Accel acts as an advisor. Financing availability, terms and approval depend on the project and the decisions of lenders or investors; financing is not guaranteed.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you take the next step.

We already have a feasibility study. What would you add?

We review what the existing study establishes and what is still needed for the financing discussion. The work may focus on the funding model, sensitivities, sponsor information or presentation of the commercial case rather than repeating completed technical work.

What stage should the project be at?

A defined project with an identifiable sponsor, preliminary economics and a funding need is a useful starting point. We assess documentation and development readiness before proposing a scope.

Do you provide financing directly?

No. Accel provides advisory and preparation support. Capital is provided by lenders or investors following their own review and approval processes.

What documents should we have?

Share a project summary, estimated capital expenditure, available financial projections, sponsor details and the status of relevant permits and commercial agreements. We then identify missing information.

Does the service include lender introductions?

The preparation engagement focuses on the financing case and materials. Lender or investor engagement, where appropriate, is agreed separately.

START WITH YOUR REQUIREMENTS

Let’s look at the project behind the funding request.

Tell us the sector, location and development stage. We’ll discuss your funding objective, available documents and the preparation needed.

  • 01 Share a short overview.
  • 02 Discuss your objective and current position.
  • 03 Receive a proposed scope before work begins.
